About
Undercover is a social deduction game you play together in the same room, passing one phone around. No account and no cards: just your friends and a straight face.
How to play
Each player holds the phone to see a secret word. Civilians and Undercover get similar but different words, and Mr. White gets no word at all. Take turns describing your word in one sentence, then vote out whoever seems most suspicious.
- Add the players (at least three) and choose the settings.
- Reveal: hold the phone to see your word in private, then pass it on.
- Discuss: everyone describes their word in one sentence.
- Vote: in public or in secret, the player with the most votes is out and their role is revealed.
- Repeat until one side wins.
Three roles
- Civilians know the real word. They win once every Undercover and Mr. White is out.
- Undercover get a close but different word. They win once they and Mr. White are at least as many as the civilians left.
- Mr. White has no word. If voted out, one correct guess of the civilians’ word wins the game.
Play your way
- Casual just for fun, or Classic to keep score across games
- Mr. White on or off (from five players)
- How many Undercover
- A speaking timer for each player
- Public or secret voting
- On a tie, only the tied players face a second vote
Word pairs are built in, in English and Vietnamese.
