GF43 provides guitartuner, a musical instrument tuner and practice app. This policy explains how the app uses information. Contact: gf-43@googlegroups.com.

Microphone

With your permission, the app analyzes microphone audio on your device to detect pitch for tuning and note exercises. It does not save microphone recordings or upload that audio to GF43 or another app service. You can turn the microphone off in the app or revoke permission in device settings. Chord diagrams and audio samples can be used without microphone access.

Local preferences and practice

The app stores preferences and practice progress locally, including your language, tuning options and lesson progress. There is no app account or GF43 cloud synchronization of that progress. Device backup and restore may copy app data according to your device and Google backup settings. Removing the app's local data removes its local preferences and progress; this does not cancel a purchase or remove transaction records held by the purchase providers.

Optional Plus purchases

Google Play processes purchases and restores access to Plus for the Google Play account used to purchase. The app communicates with Google Play Billing to retrieve localized prices and purchase status. It checks the signed purchase information, including the product, transaction token and package, on your device. It does not send purchase receipts to a GF43 server or a third-party purchase-management service.

The app keeps a local copy of a verified purchase receipt and signature to support offline access. This cache is excluded from Android backup and is checked again when Google Play provides updated purchase information. The app does not ask you for a name, email address or payment card details. Microphone audio is not sent to Google Play Billing.

Retention and requests

You can remove local app preferences, practice progress and cached purchase information through device settings or uninstalling the app. Your device backups may retain preferences/progress according to your backup settings; the purchase cache is excluded. Google retains purchase and transaction records according to its policies and applicable obligations. Removing local app data does not cancel a purchase or request a refund. Use Google Play's processes for refunds and purchase-account requests. You can contact GF43 for questions about the app's data practices.

Changes

GF43 may update this policy when app features or data practices change. The published policy will identify its effective date.
